The Fruit Center Marketplace, the South Shore’s premier gourmet and specialty foods retailer, is looking for an experienced product merchandiser to support our produce department at our Milton location. As a produce merchandiser you will be expected to: - Be able to work efficiently and purposefully in a fast paced team oriented atmosphere. - Be customer oriented. You should be able to answer questions and fulfill requests in a pleasant manner, in person or on the phone. - Have flexibility to a variety of shifts include morning, midday, evening times. Closing, opening, weekends, holiday shifts are expected. Specifics tasks include: - Learning about, filling, and merchandising products in the aisle - Unloading of delivery trucks - Backroom trimming, cutting, preparing, packing and pricing products for sale - General cleanliness and upkeep - Cross training of departments and store support are a part of the day; (e.g., helping front end, get carriages, etc.) - Be able to take direction and respond to coaching This can be either a full- or part-time position.
